Set up Pathao Parcel
Pathao Parcel books parcels from your own Pathao merchant account. Once the details are saved, KinMol books a parcel and fills in the tracking number on the order, and Pathao sends delivery updates back to KinMol.
What to have ready
- A Pathao merchant account, the one you use to book parcels today.
- The email address and password you sign in to Pathao with.
- A few minutes on the Pathao developer page, where the API credentials and the webhook setting are.
Steps
Open the Pathao developer page
Sign in at https://merchant.pathao.com. Open the Developer API page. It is headed Merchant API Credentials. Turn the API on if it is off.
Copy the Client ID and Client Secret
The developer page shows a Client ID and a Client Secret. Copy both. The secret is shown once, so keep it somewhere safe.
Enter them in KinMol with your Pathao login
In KinMol, open Delivery, then Configure Pathao Parcel. Enter the Client ID, the Client Secret, your Pathao email and your Pathao password. KinMol checks the login with Pathao before saving it.
Choose the pickup store
KinMol fetches the stores on your Pathao account. Choose the store parcels are picked up from. If you have one store, it is chosen for you.
Set up the webhook in Pathao
In Pathao, open Developer API, then Webhook Integration. Paste your webhook address (copy it in KinMol from this courier's page, under Your webhook address) into the Callback URL box. Set a webhook secret: make one up, at least 16 letters and numbers, and enter the same secret in KinMol in the Webhook secret box. Tick these events: Order Created, Pickup Requested, In Transit, Delivered, Delivery Failed, Returned and Payment Invoice. Ticking more is fine. Press Update Webhook. Pathao sends a test call, and KinMol answers it automatically.
Try it on the test account
Tick the test account box in KinMol and book one parcel. When the parcel is booked and the tracking number appears on the order, untick the box to book real parcels.
Where each detail is found
- Client ID
- The Merchant API Credentials page in your Pathao merchant panel.
- Client Secret
- The same page. It is shown once.
- Pathao email and password
- The login you use at merchant.pathao.com.
- Store ID
- Stores in the merchant panel. KinMol can fetch the list for you.
- Webhook secret
- You set it yourself in Developer API, then Webhook Integration. Enter the same value in KinMol.
Delivery updates
In Pathao, open Developer API, then Webhook Integration. Paste your webhook address (copy it in KinMol from this courier's page, under Your webhook address) into the Callback URL box and set a webhook secret. Enter the same secret in KinMol. Tick these events: Order Created, Pickup Requested, In Transit, Delivered, Delivery Failed, Returned and Payment Invoice. Ticking more is fine. Press Update Webhook. KinMol answers Pathao's test call automatically, so the setting turns green on its own. Payment updates are kept for you and are not shown to buyers.
Trying it out
Tick the test account box in KinMol, then book one parcel from a real order. Check that the tracking number appears on the order and that the label address is right. Untick the box when you are ready to book real parcels.
If something goes wrong
- Pathao refuses the login.
- Check the email and password by signing in at merchant.pathao.com in a browser. If the password was changed recently, enter the new one in KinMol.
- No stores are listed.
- A Pathao account with no store cannot book parcels. Add a store in the merchant panel, then fetch the list again in KinMol.
- Delivery updates never arrive.
- Open Developer API, then Webhook Integration. Check the Callback URL matches the address KinMol shows, the events are ticked, and the secret is the same as in KinMol. Then press Update Webhook.
