What’s new in KinMol.

1. 25 Oct

   • A Reports page with every report in one place: stock balance, stock ledger, stock ageing, stock by place, item-wise sales and purchases, gross profit, who owes you, the general ledger, trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
   • Every report can be searched, grouped with subtotals, charted, shown in BS or AD dates, saved as your own view, and downloaded as Excel, CSV or PDF by the people you allow.
   • Saved views on the customer, supplier, purchase, expense and online order lists.
   • Activity and comments under each customer, supplier, purchase and sales order, and a record of every change to a customer or supplier.
   • Ctrl+K now also finds customers, suppliers, items and bills.
   • Repack stock, such as a sack into packets, on the web and in the app. The value carries across and the books do not change.
   • At the till: split a bill by item, or merge two bills, on the web and in the app.
   • Shifts: cash in and cash out with a reason, counted in the drawer, and an X or Z report to print. A cash out over Rs 2,000 needs a manager.
   • A ready-for-pickup order board for a TV at the counter, and a customer display that shows the bill as it is rung up.
   • Till keys: F2 take payment, F4 send to the kitchen, F8 pre-bill, Alt+W the shift.
   • Pharmacies: a Batches and expiry report with cost and MRP values, Excel export, return to supplier and write off as expired.
   • Choose the batch on a bill at the till, in the app and at the counter station. Expired batches cannot be chosen; the earliest expiry is used otherwise.
   • Each batch keeps its own cost and MRP, the till can sell at the batch's MRP, and margin by batch is in Reorder and expiry.
   • A rack or shelf on each item, shown at the till, on delivery notes and in the expiry list.
   • A morning note to the owner and managers about expiring batches and low stock, and drug licence reminders at 60, 30 and 7 days.
   • Cheque number, bank and date on bank payments at the till and to suppliers, and Email to supplier for purchase orders.
   • New medicines start VAT-exempt, as the VAT Act's Schedule 1 says. You can change it for any item.
2. 20 Oct

   • Press Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) to jump to any page or action, in English or Nepali.
   • Dark mode for the web console: light, dark or the same as your device.
   • A new Accounts workspace with its own dashboard, a fiscal-year switcher and Alt-key voucher shortcuts, with Tally-style F-keys if you want them.
   • Share the books with your accountant from one button.
   • Nepali digits on every screen and on Nepali prints.
   • Settings is now one page of cards you can search.
3. 19 Oct

   • The whole web console and the Android app in Nepali. Choose नेपाली in your profile.
   • Pick any date in Bikram Sambat, with the AD date beside it.
   • This website in Nepali, with an EN | NP switch at the top.
   • Five bill designs, from the Nepal standard bill book to modern A4, printed in English, Nepali or both, with your shop logo.
   • IRD’s purchase and sales books in the 2078/79 format, as Excel or PDF.
   • Annex 13, the e-TDS file, ratios, ledger drill-down and balance letters.
   • Cost centres, budgets against actuals, purchase bills in a foreign currency, and books imported from Tally or Excel.
   • Interest on overdue dues, shown on the pay link and the reminders and collected at the till.
   • Bill a sale in a foreign currency at the till and take the cash in it.
   • A home for your accountant, read-only seats for an auditor, and the whole fiscal year as one ZIP download.
   • Accept or reject waiting online orders at the web till and in the app.
4. 18 Oct

   • Connect WhatsApp in one tap, then send dues reminders and bills from your own WhatsApp number.
   • Facebook Messenger chats reach the shop assistant and your Inbox.
   • Split payments, Fonepay QR and pay-on-their-phone links at the web till.
   • The kitchen board gets start, almost ready, hold, ready, picked up, recall and reprint.
   • Download IRD report tables as PDF.
5. 17 Oct

   • Import customers and suppliers from Excel or CSV, and items from Excel.
   • Download expenses, suppliers, purchases and the day book as CSV or Excel.
   • A sale can be just an amount, with no items.
   • Add a note, photos and documents to a bill.
   • Enter opening stock with the day you counted it and its cost.
   • Quotations, sales orders, delivery challans, purchase orders and returns in the Android app.
6. 16 Oct

   • Permissions for each person and each branch, enforced by the database, with manager approval.
   • Stock across branches: ask, approve, send and receive, with reorder levels and prices per branch.
   • Weighted-average cost and a stock value report.
   • Close the year to retained earnings, and close months by Bikram Sambat month.
   • NEX reads a bank statement and drafts the entry for each line.
   • Take card machine payments at the till.
7. 15 Oct

   • Paperless bills by email, WhatsApp link or download.
   • Cash drawer shifts with X and Z reports.
   • Station mode: make a tablet a kitchen screen, front desk or time clock, with staff PINs.
   • Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, plus loans and fixed assets with yearly depreciation.
   • Delivery areas and full delivery addresses at checkout.
8. 14 Oct

   • Every sale gets a numbered payment receipt while tax invoices wait for IRD to approve KinMol’s e-Billing software.
   • Return a receipt sale, with cash or bank back.
   • Branches that run like their own shop under one PAN, with a branch switcher.
   • Give a discount at the till within the limits the owner sets.
   • The shop assistant sells in chat: it finds a product from a screenshot and checks stock and price.
   • Two-step sign-in for your account.
   • The KinMol app for Android, now in testing on Google Play.
9. 13 Oct

   • KinMol Mail: personal and shared mailboxes on your own domain.
   • Pharmacy: medicine details, prescription flags, and the patient and doctor on the bill.
   • Supplier mode, imports from abroad with landed cost, sales orders and delivery challans.
   • Promo codes, free delivery over an amount and size guides on your website.

    • Online payments into your own account: Fonepay QR, NPS, Nabil cards, IME Pay, and cards with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
    • Scan barcodes at the till with a camera or a scanner.

    • KinMol opens: the till, server-priced bills, and double-entry books.
    • Menus with sections, add-ons and photos; tables, a live kitchen screen and ordering from the table by QR code.
