Account Deletion
Last updated: October 15, 2026
This page explains how to ask for your KinMol account to be deleted, how requests are reviewed, what happens to your data, and how a business is closed.
1. Asking to delete your account
Deletion is requested from inside your account, while you are signed in, so we know the request really comes from you. Sign in to KinMol, open the account menu (your initial, top right) and choose Delete my account. Tell us why if you like, and confirm. You can cancel a pending request from the same page. If you cannot sign in, write to hello@kinmol.com from the address on the account.
2. How requests are reviewed
- Every request is reviewed by the KinMol team, usually within 7 working days
- If you are the only owner of a business that is still running, we cannot delete your account until the business has another owner or is closed. Otherwise nobody could reach it, its staff or its records
- We may pause or decline a request where the law requires us to keep the data, where there is an unresolved payment or dispute, or where the request appears not to come from the account holder. We will tell you why
3. What happens when a request is approved
- You lose access to every business you belonged to
- Your name and phone number are removed from your profile, and any unfinished business setup is deleted
- Tax invoices, the books and payment records you created stay with the business, because the law requires the business to keep them, but they no longer identify you
- Uploaded files are removed from active storage within 30 days, and data in encrypted backups is purged within 90 days on our normal backup rotation
- Deletion cannot be undone once it is complete
4. Your sign-in, and Firfirey
KinMol shares its sign-in with Firfirey, the travel site from the same company. By default, deleting your KinMol account leaves the sign-in itself, so a Firfirey account you have keeps working. If you also want the sign-in deleted, tick that option when you ask. That also deletes your Firfirey account.
5. Before you delete
- Export anything you want to keep
- If you own a business, add another owner or ask us to close it first
- Charges for usage that has already happened are still payable
6. Closing a business
An owner can ask for a whole business to be closed by writing to hello@kinmol.com. We confirm the request with an authorised owner before acting. The business can export its data first. Its tax invoices and books are kept for the period the law requires, and everything else is deleted or anonymised as described above.
