Nepal Can Move

Set up Nepal Can Move

Nepal Can Move books parcels from your own NCM account. KinMol sends the parcel details, keeps the tracking number on the order, and shows the delivery updates NCM sends back.

What to have ready

  • An NCM account, the one you use to book parcels today.
  • Your NCM sign-in details.
  • The NCM branch where you hand in parcels.

Steps

  1. Sign in to the NCM portal

Open https://portal.nepalcanmove.com and sign in with your NCM account.

  2. Open Resources, then API Integration

In the menu, open Resources. Choose API Integration.

  3. Generate a production token

Choose Production Token, then Generate New Token. Copy the token. It is shown once.

  4. Paste the token in KinMol

In KinMol, open Delivery, then Configure Nepal Can Move. Paste the token. KinMol checks it with NCM before saving it, so a typing mistake is caught straight away.

  5. Choose your pickup branch

KinMol loads the NCM branches assigned to your account. Choose the one you hand parcels in at.

  6. Register the webhook

KinMol shows a webhook address on the Nepal Can Move card. Press the Register button and KinMol tells NCM where to send delivery updates. You do not set anything in the NCM portal, and there is no secret to enter.

Where each detail is found

Production token
Resources, then API Integration, then Production Token, in the NCM portal.
Pickup branch
The NCM branch where you hand in parcels. KinMol loads the list from your account.

Delivery updates

KinMol registers the webhook address with NCM for you. Press the Register button on the Nepal Can Move card. NCM has no secret to set on its side. A private key inside the address protects it, so keep the address to yourself. Register once, and again if you switch between the test site and live.

Trying it out

Tick the test site box in KinMol, book one parcel, and check the tracking number appears on the order. Untick the box to book real parcels. If you change the site, enter the token for that site again.

If something goes wrong

NCM does not accept the token.
Generate a fresh production token in the portal and paste it again. A token from the test site does not work on live, and the other way round.
No pickup branches are listed.
Ask NCM to assign a pickup branch to your account, then load the branches again in KinMol.
The webhook was not registered.
Press Register from the live site, not from a local address. NCM cannot reach a computer on your desk.
